In October, Celine showcased its Tomboy Summer 2024 collection at the National Library of France in Paris, offering a mix of casual and cool pieces inspired by the 90s and the early days of Creative Director Hedi Slimane’s design career.
The collection featured a variety of new bags, including the brand’s iconic Triomphe, with a spotlight on the new Celine Victoire Bag. This relaxed carryall exudes both coolness and chicness simultaneously.
The Victoire bag was designed with duality in mind, meant to be worn as both a day and evening bag. Made with supple-grained leather, the bag features Triomphe hardware and a distinctive construction. Its tabbed leather flap closure opens to reveal two compartments, one with a zip pocket and the other with a patch pocket. The slight accordion construction provides ample storage space, and the chain strap adds functionality.
The long chain allows for crossbody wear and long or short-shoulder wear, and the bag can also be tucked under the arm as a pochette for nighttime use. Available in a variety of options, including grained leather, classic Triomphe canvas, leopard print, and crocodile, the Victoire Bag is said to be the Celine bag of the summer, with prices starting at $3,600.
