Throughout the year, the Parisian Maison, renowned for its historical roots in trunk-making, has released limited edition versions of its most beloved bags in honor of 170 years in business.
With over two and a half centuries since its establishment, Maison Goyard remains one of the world’s oldest luxury brands specializing in trunks and leather goods. Its enduring legacy is further celebrated this holiday season with a new, limited edition carryall that is certain to captivate collectors.
“The Other Canvas by Goyard”
While most people immediately think of the Maison’s iconic Goyardine Canvas, dating back to 1892, Goyard’s bag collection also features another unique canvas. Known as “The Other Canvas by Goyard,” this distinctive woven canvas was created by Robert Goyard during the travel boom of the late 1960s.
Designed to complement the brand’s growing line-up of travel bags, the jacquard material has reinvented the emblematic Goyard chevron since 1965. Rooted in history and a true ode to the Maison’s storied past, this material is being celebrated in a reinvented version of the Goyard Villette Tote in honor of 170 years.
“A Colorway to Remember”
The Villette Tote, beloved for its distinct box-like shape and the perfect blend of structure and softness, has been a must-have for Goyard collectors since its launch earlier this decade. Initially released in Goyardine with a screen-printed French Bulldog, the Villette Tote draws inspiration from the brand’s Méditerranée Beach Bag.
