Two of the most common questions I receive about my work in the bag industry are: 1) What is your all-time favorite bag? 2) Which brand are you currently loving the most? Unfortunately, I don’t have a favorite bag of all time. However, I can share some of my favorite bag brands and explain why I admire their creations and releases.
Loewe has consistently impressed me. Their Creative Director, Jonathan Anderson, has a talent for incorporating unexpected and whimsical elements. The brand’s collaboration collections are highly anticipated and well-received. Today, I carried my Loewe Puzzle Bag, a favorite in my personal collection that always stands out as unique and abstract, making it perfect for a day at Art Basel. Despite the constant release of new designs and iterations, I often return to Loewe’s signature core lines. The bottle green color of the Loewe Puzzle Bag, released just in time for the winter wardrobe, caught my eye. Although the Puzzle bag feels timeless, it was actually the first bag released by Jonathan Anderson when he took over at Loewe. The cuboid shape boasts geometrical lines that resemble puzzle pieces coming together, and despite its popularity, the bag has never felt over-saturated.

The recent Loewe x Suna Fujita collection, produced in collaboration with a Kyoto-based ceramic studio, received widespread acclaim.
