Matthieu Blazy’s Summer 2024 collection is an amalgamation of global influences, transcending geographical and temporal boundaries. The collection encapsulates both a physical and personal journey, rekindling a newfound appreciation for the art of dressing up.
While Blazy’s previous collections paid homage to Italy, this latest collection heralds the beginning of a new chapter, drawing inspiration from both natural and man-made references worldwide. This is evident in the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail evident throughout the collection.
From tailored pieces inspired by the hustle and bustle of everyday commuters to playful pom-poms and fringes, the collection exudes a bold and vibrant color palette, truly establishing itself as a masterpiece.
The new campaign showcases select pieces from the Summer 2024 collection, featuring a stunning array of bags, including updated versions of previous designs and debut silhouettes (more details on these soon!). Shot by photographer Alec Soth, the images radiate a lighthearted and imaginative aura.
Blazy describes the collection as “An Odyssey: a journey that is both free and hopeful.” He compares playgrounds to spaces of freedom, joy, experimentation, and discovery, where individuals can embark on their own adventures, take risks, and explore different facets of themselves.
