Fashion in 2023 made a major shift towards embracing the world of sports and solidified the need for athletes to represent fashion brands. The response to our previous article on the best-dressed NFL players and their bags was overwhelming, which prompted us to follow up with an analysis of the NBA players who have turned their pre and post-game arrivals and departures into an advertising catwalk. Athletes are increasingly using social media as a platform to market themselves and their favorite accessories, including an array of stylish bags. Like their NFL counterparts, many of the NBA’s fashionable men can be seen carrying duffles to and from the arenas. This is likely a result of their travel from hotels or planes and back. There is a noticeable trend of NBA players embracing smaller bags, such as crossbody bags and even Chanel backpacks. Though I am not a big basketball fan, I am truly impressed by the stylish bags and outfits these men have been wearing. If you share my love for the fashion side of sports, we also covered some of the Miami Heat players last season. Check out the most fashionable men of the NBA and the bags they have been flaunting recently! Some of the standout names include LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, who has been seen sporting a LOUIS VUITTON Monogram Speedy for $4,825 via Fashionphile and a custom LOUIS VUITTON briefcase for $1,725. Boston Celtics’ power forward, Jayson Tatum, has been spotted with a LOUIS VUITTON LV x YK Keepall 50 valued at $9,837. Tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers seems to favor the LOUIS VUITTON Monogram Eclipse Keepall for $2,200, as well as the GOYARD Boeing 45 Duffle Bag for $5,780. He was also seen with a GUCCI GG Carry-On Duffle for $2,450. Indiana Pacers’ point guard, Tyrese Haliburton, was seen with a CHANEL Jumbo Single Flap Bag for $3,895 and a BOTTEGA VENETA Padded Backpack for $2,200. The Brooklyn Nets point guard, Ben Simmons, appears to favor the GOYARD Jouvence Bag for $1,418 and the LOUIS VUITTON Alma Travel GM for $4,550. Lastly, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder was seen with a CHANEL Sports Line White Nylon Bottle Case Shoulder Bag for $1,450 and an HERMES Birkin 50cm HAC for $12,465. Both bags can be seen on What Goes Around Comes Around.
