In December, Chanel unveils its Métiers d’Art collection, celebrating the expertise and craftsmanship of French luxury. The brand recently showcased its Métiers d’Art 2024 show in Manchester, as part of the ongoing creative collaboration between Virginie Viard and Chanel artisans.
The heart of every Chanel Métiers d’Art collection lies in collaboration and creativity, and this year is no exception. The ateliers at Rue Cambon and the Maisons d’Art at le19M connected with friends of the house and the city of Manchester.
As a vibrant destination for pop culture and avant-garde fashion with a rich musical heritage, Manchester was the perfect location for the creativity of Métiers d’Art. The show, held on an iconic street in the city, showcased a dazzling palette with bursts of color.
The ready-to-wear collection embodies the diverse array of Chanel’s House codes, featuring tailoring, tweed, quilted leather, and more. Silhouettes with a uniquely British flair presented vibrant shades of apple green, raspberry, and apricot.
Moving on to the Bags of Chanel Métiers d’Art 2024, the collection includes bold colored brand signatures and novelty fabrics. New versions of the Classic Flap and Wallet on Chain feature fun colors, embellished tweed, and more. A variety of clutches, both classic and novelty, were also prominently featured.
Overall, the bags are both wearable and playful, making them a true collector’s dream. Get a closer look at the bags from the runway below. (Images courtesy of Chanel)
